Ingredients
- 200 g self raising flour
- 150 g butter, melted
- 150 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 table spoons icing sugar
- 2 table spoons milk
- 1 tea spoon orange (or lemon) essence
- Zest and juice of 1 orange (or lemon)
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 160°C
- Beat the melted butter and sugar togethe until it turns creamy.
- Add the eggs and beat again, then stir in the flour, milk, orange (or lemon) essence and zest.
- Pour the mixture into a greased loaf tin or oven dish, ensuring that it is filled by no more than two thirds.
- Place the loaf tin or oven dish into the non-stick coated cooking basket and cook for approximately 30 minutes or unit firm and cooked through. Set the cake to one side on a cooling rack.
- Mix together the orange (or lemon) juice and icing sugar, then pour it over the cooled cake.
- More icing sugar will be required if using lemon, to balance out the sourness.
